Averill Launches 2016 Summer Internship Program
Averill is seeking energetic, career-oriented individuals to participate in a 10-week internship program this summer 2016!
Averill will select two individuals to support our efforts in leading and directing sophisticated fundraising campaigns, feasibility studies and development audits for our high-level clients. For a period of 10 weeks commencing in June 2016, the Averill intern will be placed on-site with a leading not-for-profit community partner located in the Southern New Jersey/Philadelphia, PA and the greater San Diego, CA regions (one per site). The program will include mentoring and training in the not-for-profit industry, and our interns’ responsibilities will be to support fundraising initiatives for Averill and the organization to which they are assigned.
The goal for the Averill internship program is to introduce participants to the not-for-profit sector, and to equip our interns with the skills for a career in fundraising for not-for-profit organizations. Program participants will work with knowledgeable colleagues and accomplished and talented not-for-profit executives, and be provided with progressively challenging assignments to ensure professional growth in the field.
A stipend will be provided for the 10-week program, however relocation and daily commutation expenses will not be provided.
Successful candidates will have
- – Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities in school, work and/or volunteer endeavors
- – Interest in careers related to fundraising and development consulting for the not-for-profit sector
- – Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- – Attention to detail and high degree of initiative
- – Excellent written communication, research, and organizational skills
- – Ability to travel to a project site in the Southern New Jersey/Philadelphia, PA and the greater San Diego, CA regions
